I'm just K.O. (I don't give out personal info on the internet)
◆If possible, your age?
I'm still a kid
◆When did you start drawing?
HOOOOF! I've been drawing for a LONG time, for as long as I can remember (and I have a GOOD memory). By the age of 3, I had already decided that I wanted to be an artist.
◆Which hand do you use for drawing?
Right hand!
◆Which is easier to draw - male or female?
Girls are much easier to draw for me, although I can draw boys. When I draw boys, they are usually in a humorous or more cartoony style. I have many styles.
◆Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
I'm fine with both and everything in between.
◆Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
Um...Well I usually do whatever comes out really, I don't normally think about which way it's facing unless I have an idea already, but toward the left is usually easier.
◆Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
I'm not too good at side views; so I do front views and lots of 3/4 views too.
◆What do you have problems in drawing?
Yes! I want to improve my boy-drawing in more realistic styles,(and out of my own imagination, because I can draw already exsisting characters.)Also, I some times have trouble with hands and some times the eyes don't match up, or I've erased so much that the paper becomes brittle (and it usually happens on the face) and sometimes even breaks! o,o;
Oh, ad I want to improve my animal drawing skills and keep practicing on more realistic things. My goal is to be well-rounded and be able to draw all kinds of things in all kinds of styles, while still being skilled in other areas besides visual art.
◆What do you like to draw?
All sorts of things! Cartoons(both mine and others),people, landscapes, objects, imaginative things that randomly pop into my head, funny random stuff. I love to doodle. At school, when I'm taking notes, I make sure to write down all the notes and also doodle in the margins.
◆Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
Traditional,I haven't really tried digital art. Well I've doodled in Microsoft Paint, but I can't do anything that's like, "Wow!" know what I mean?
◆Where do you start drawing from?
The head.
◆What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
I tend to smudge up my hands while I'm drawing right along the side.
◆Any tips for coloring/shading?
When I color with colored pencils I use lots of colors that compliment each other, even though they may not be the same, and blend them together in layers. For example, don't be afraid to use green and brown and red together. I suggest looking at colored pencil drawings and real objects and trying to pick out what colors are used, and what color they appear to be. Like pearls, they're an opalescent white, but you see pink and purple and yellow in there. When I use oil pastels, I sort of do the same thing, except I smudge the colors and blend with my fingers.
◆How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
Not too long, I can draw the main image pretty quickly, but I take lots of breaks and do other things that may take time and I may not get back to work on it for a while. I started a drawing in August (I think), and I haven't touched it, or even seen it since I stopped working on it. Sometimes I don't feel like drawing because I lack the desire or inspiration to do it. It's hard to explain, it's just a feeling that's like, "I wanna draw something," or, "Let me just draw something real quick," even if I'm not sure what I'll do. Sometimes I have a blank piece of paper, and no idea in mind, and I just follow my pencil and boom-there's a drawing.
◆What music do you listen to while you draw?
Whatever's on really. I don't play music when I draw, I just listen to whatever's around me. Usually they're music playing in my head that goes with what I'm drawing.
Note:"(Aaah! My foot's asleep!!!Wake up wake up!!!...Sorry my foot's just completely numb..-.-
◆How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
It depends, if it's just me and a thought randomly comes, I'll have and idea in an instant, or a few minutes. If I don't know what to draw and lack the inspiration (which is usually why I don't know what to draw)then I could come up with plenty of ideas and none of them will come ot right and end up not drawing anything at all.
◆Your favorite drawing utensils?
Pencil-Side advance with a good eraser and 0.7 lead that I write with so that it has a sharp edge for fine details an outlining and a soft angled flat-ish edge for shading and most of the drawing. Crayola colored pencils, crayons, oil pastels, you name it!
◆Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
My favorite color is blue, but I use a lot of tan I think.
◆Your favorite style(s)?
I don't know, whatever catches my attention in a good way.
◆What kind of artist are you aiming for?
I'm not sure, but I want to do a lot of stuff. I've already got ideas for a cartoon show, two movies, two and a half books, and three or for animated shorts (Oscar nominated...I wish XD )
◆Thank you.
You're welcome!
Now please fill in the next columns by writing the names of the artists that match the criteria. Artists tagged must fill in this baton.
(But if you've been tagged once or twice already, it's optional)
